Using The Force

Last week a very good friend of mine, and member of the Rebel Rabbit/Jack and Pookie Team Shelley Grey-Haywood Welcomed her first child into the world. Welcome to the world Beth!

I was at the Mississauga Toy convention Show Sunday, as it was a Star Wars Themed show, and with The Force awakens coming out this coming Friday I felt somewhat inspired.

The adventures of Jet Pook!

Alright. This one took me about three time longer to color than most of the strips on here, but I'm fairly certain you can tell why. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Also if you can't tell I kinda really dig retro Scifi.

Hey all. I intended to update last week, as you may have noticed that didn't happen, the move really took a lot out of me. I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things and establish (re-establish?) a routine. But here we are, it's Monday therefore new Pook and Skowl. (If you are curious yes, ur main room is colored like this, it's nice)

No update next week, as I will be moving on Sunday and I am unsure if my internet will be hooked up. Not to mention my general lack of energy after moving all of our stuff....

We had a great time at Con Bravo on the weekend, and if we met you there it was nice to meet you/see you if we have met you before!

The idea for this one came out of the mind of our Editor/Energetic Mistress of Plush Kate (Not to be confused with our creator of plush Jenn) Thank you Kate.

The Kate knows how to make the plush do all of their tricks,
and has discovered a way to use their energies.

Howdy All! Things are getting crazy for me this month. Coming up in a couple weeks I will be taking a course on drawing perspective with Scott Caple. At the end of that week myself and Jack will be at Con Bravo; which is one of our favorite shows of the year.

My Roommate and myself are also in the process of buying a Condo. Lots going on. Busy times ahead ^____^

A Very Anime-ted Weekend

Wow, what a great weekend both Jack and I had a great time last weekend at Anime North. For all our new friends who found Pook and Skowl, a huge welcome it was awesome to meet all of you. In the Spirit of the weekend this week is a very Anime inspired image.

While we were at the show our good friends at Dragon Mango were running a promotion where people could run quests and our table was one of the quest points. I took it upon myself to make a "cut scene" for the quest.

As some of you who talked to me may know, I was conflicted between two images for this week's update, the second being Attack on Titan themed. I chose not to use that one because the general theme of the blog/comic is Cute/Funny, and the Titans can be pretty horrific. I will post  the sketch for the AOT image but if you have a little one who is reading this, or get bothered by skinless things easily I suggest maybe stop reading now. The rest of you Enjoy!

I really don't see Pook being into sports like boxing, at least from a participation stand point.

Last weekend I was at GTA Comic con, and had a blast. They had live bands playing nerd music in the room we were in. While that admittedly made selling a bit of a challenge, it did make for an enjoyable afternoon groovin' along Surrounded by awesome people. While one of the bands; The Blast Processors was on I totally sketched em while they were playing.

Good times. Hope to see some of you at Anime North next month!
